Night of Ylivala Street

1
I had searched Thomas lard before
Along Ylivala street, a man
Died two years ago,
As a common young guy whom
No one now might remember.

Been thinking to be brave he had
At least not afraid of death-threat,
Tied with a ribbon up his forehead;
In those just undying nights, walked
Along Ylivala Street.

2
I pace towards a dim cave behind
Dropping curtains, along Ylivala St,
With the hand stretched forward,
While rhythms of music flow in the air;
The tip of a finger pointing the way to go:

Dusk is a moment with dim thoughts
When fancies come near, a wave
And waves, only wise cats
Sit peering from gaps of its doors, give
Miaows remind me of being in witcheries.

3
Road-side trees taller than last night
But my fingers weathered more and
A ring of mine with diamond
Lost in Ylivala St

That was all I had had before and
Embedded into my flesh
As the last bet,
Along with my dear finger;

How the night of Ylivala Street
Made my hands not
Quiver?

4
Early morning at half-past four walking
OnYlivala Street, the delicate yet elegant
Of the middle-summer eagerly drinking;
A drunk there, stumping about,
His eye meets my eyes asking for a cigarette.

A gifted cat gazing after me to the station
Keeps showing me her closeness and yet
When the train comes near, every light on
Platform Bridge suddenly dies out.

When the dawn rises,
You will be lonely since,
And the night of Ylivala Street with
Cat’s dark figure ebbs.
