A Cenotaph Alive Beneath Horizon ---Melbourne: Walnn
(middle)
Being kept locked inside of its heart
But on the crude dark-red cliff steep-sided
Some golden-twinkles in a depression's shade
Are shining as if from unsealed fire the soul-diamond
Are being mounted on the hardest steep side
As the unseen flame of darkness
“Alas! I have found it! This is Kimberley! ”
Without thinking I shouted out the words
But I couldn't believe eyeing that at all the diamonds
There are many extraordinary-carved writings
As if done by the divine-spirits
Those writings are dealing with a stream of noble names
Of our country as the blood-layering silent memories
Nearly in a century; each of them is treasured as
Of new era a Noble Spirit that is heartening people’s imagines
Highly with their historic identifiers
In its misery of vastness
On their soft female shoulders
They have had carried on the fighting for justice
And done all they can in resistance
To protect the Chinese nation fetal-blowed,
From the cell of the cancer of despotic dictatorship
On the surrounding ring-like volcanic cliffs
There are the bright-eyed olive-greens
Embracing the black Earth as the dazzling Milk-River does
Suddenly burst the thunderbolts in my spirit-world
While I think of Nature miraculous
As echoing a gate in cliff in front of my eye silently opens
From which come those Celestial beings
Juxtaposed and reliefed against it
The one dignified in appearance
From Beijing- Uni in middle of them sacred as
A one of souls transparent as a rare stainless jade
And white as a virgin snowy ridge refracting the lights
Of her blood-hearted scripts against the plague-ridden throne
From to its blank eyes
The one chasing Truth like music in its rhythm
Elegant as “Yuan-chun”of the Dream of the Red-chamber
As a one suffering the brutal throat-tied ruin unspoken
In order to re-establish peace and melodious on the altar
With blood of the offerings --that voided all
Regrets and brooked no quarter
Made Of ice and snow and made of light, the flower
Still as a monthly rose to blossom
“Joyous goddesses, beautiful and pure- hearted
Like sun lights shin the world. We
With full-hearted warmth should come
Your holy Temple “
It is your power
That has solved all bifurcations of us
It is your glory beneath that
We have united as the brothers and sisters.
The tiger plays “Se”; the drum the phoenix-like drums
Dressed with rosy-clouds and widened rainbows
The celestial beings are singing the “Song of Happiness”
Between sky and land are crying all living things

【Sentence Pattern
1、“The one dignified in appearance
From Beijing- Uni in middle of them sacred as
A one of souls transparent as a rare stainless jade
And white as a virgin snowy ridge refracting the lights
Of her blood-hearted scripts against the plague-ridden throne
From to its blank eyes”
其中dignified in appearance from Beijing- Uni in middle of them sacred… 但这一节中有几个as, as a one ….as… and white as…: 第一个as 是中心词the one 的同位语,省去了is,而 a one 则为表语;而之后的两个as 都是连词,作象或“如同”解,带出比较状语从句。修饰“a one”.
…as a virgin snowy ridge from which refracting the lights of her blood-hearted scripts against the plague-ridden throne to its blank eyes
2、Which voided all regrets and brooked no quarter:这种凄惨境遇不知道什么叫忏悔也并不知道何为宽容, which 引导的是限制性后置定语从句,修饰前面的名词:”ruin”(毁灭)
3、transparent as a rare stainless jade and white as a virgin snowy ridge:
