The Sunflowers

On the note of gold
That sea of a sunflower upturned
In the fervid sun as a palette wide-field
From which richly burning the staring-dreaming of a Van Gogh
Of their bodies at dusk the blue shadows still stretching
With their necks bent and muse for the harvest-praying
In the early morn having on their emotional experience to tantalize sun
The bright-born and to show up the fragrant-crowded eye full-blown.
