Grant me an isle, lonely and wide,
To drift and wander a thousand year with the tide.
I shall invite thee to the sea,
Together, to the world's end we’ll flee.
Grant me a piece of forest, ancient and green,
That hugs the shore with sights serene.
By day and night, we shall embrace,
In endless love, time can’t erase.
Grant me bright coral, in hues so grand,
That shines within thy heart’s deep land.
I am the clownfish, bold yet small,
By thy side, I’ll ever call.
Grant me a cottage, like those of lore,
Hidden in woods, at the forest’s core.
With butterflies bright, our souls shall fly,
As spirits of the trees, we’ll never die.
One day I’ll hear thy call so clear,
O’er hill and sea, I’ll draw thee near.
In this life, no more I’ll roam,
For thou art now my heart’s true home.

The Ferry_By Dong Fang
I come to the ferry by the border town,
But the boat was gone, with naught but frown.
The ones who sailed, where have they flown?
On what strange seas, adrift, unknown?
I take not the boat, nor cast a line,
Nor idle wait as the sun doth shine.
Perchance, a song from hills so high,
May reach the clouds, where small boats fly.
I know my time here cannot stay,
The wind turns pages, and sweeps away.
Awakened now, from thoughts so deep,
Alas, how long hath been my sleep?
A bird doth pass before my eye,
From what far ferry doth it fly?
And whither now, with wings so wide,
Shall it seek another tide?
