The bright streaming white poplars, a beauteous
Record of Nature, straight away towards their slender tops
That grabs a space on a fair field, along miles and miles
In the distance
That a sea of eyes fade-proof and pursed lips
Stay silent, detailing the world in given situations
Either being a sort of asking-world
Or their capacity of putting into words
Has been transformed into their own style to silently stand erect
Muse, stretches up as unseen arms
Soaring high to light-echo
And as gloom penetrating toes
“Besame mucho ”
With deathless bonds of earth
With clean edgeless blowing of air and its usual calmness
Could white poplars been bearing the burden of your Truth?

4、“that a sea of …” : that : 引出主语短语“a sea of eyes fade-proof and pursed lips”全句谓语动词为stays.
本句可以改写成it is …that 的强调句型:

34、多说几句（译者）：关于汉语诗歌的译成英诗，翻译界的理论是丰富多彩，每一种理论都能使尝试者如我等获益。
但我想用一种较形象的物理状态的比喻来描述“翻译”。综合地说，就是用另一种语言，另一种语法，在对汉语诗歌理解的基础上，去调制出一种纯净的液态载体，她尽其可能地纯净到透明，而翻译的效果就是，当汉语诗歌作为-比如，一大团有著她选择的形态的墨迹，滑入这个透明的载体时，原来的形态不是受到“侵袭”，而是按她原有的激情在新的载体里自在地舒展，妙曼地变化，不破碎，有局部的释放，自然也有局部的收敛，更有核心的护卫，最后以“那种形态”稳定地悬浮在透明里, 存在下去。若说有改变，只能在这个意义上；若说能呈现出新的“美的姿态”，而能被持另一种语言作母语的读者接受，也只能是在这个意义上。从而使得原诗的作者，愿意对译者说：“「文章千古事，得失寸心知」”。(唐杜甫〈偶題〉： thousands years lasting a verse which a poet put his feelings heartily in )。这，虽然很难，但值得为之努力。
